Step 3: Install the FluxNode Software

This step covers everything you need to get your FluxNode up and running, from connecting to your server to installing and configuring the FluxNode software.

1. Connect to Server via SSH​

Learn how to securely connect to your server remotely using SSH. This includes guidance for different operating systems and troubleshooting common connection issues.

2. Install OS Updates​

Ensure your server’s operating system is fully updated with the latest security patches and performance improvements before installing FluxNode software.

3. Network Configuration​

Configure your network settings to enable proper communication between your FluxNode and the Flux network. This covers both single-node and multi-node setups, including UPnP and DMZ options.

4. Install FluxNode Software​

Use the official multitoolbox script to install Docker, set up your FluxNode with your credentials, run benchmarks, and start your node. This section guides you through each menu option step by step.

5. Benchmark Verification & Starting Your Node​

Verify that your node meets performance requirements with benchmarking, then activate your node through your wallet once collateral confirmations are complete.
